Düsseldorf, 30 November 2023: For the Christmas season, the designer duo Johnny Talbot and Adrian Runhof are once again collaborating with artists and have had the shop windows of their boutiques in Munich, Berlin, Düsseldorf and Zurich designed by four young female artists. The art was selected according to high standards and the designer duo were advised by the Kunsthalle Zürich, the Munich curator Mon Muellerschoen and the online gallery "Wunderkunst". It is well known that Johnny Talbot and Adrian Runhof support the charity organisation Leap Society and also act as sponsors at art fairs such as Art Düsseldorf and Highlights International Art Fair in Munich. Two years ago, they created a capsule collection in collaboration with the Munich-based artist duo Mehmet & Kazim.

The staging of the shop windows is as enchanting as Talbot Runhof's creations. In a time of streestyle and casual looks, the two designers create fairy-tale clothes that always have one thing in common: elegance and a touch of art.

Esther Zahel was responsible for the design of the boutique in Munich - born in Hanau, she lives and works in Augsburg. In her work, she furnishes rooms and creates worlds of experience that tell of familiarity and illusion. For the windows of the Talbot Runhof boutique on Theatinerstrasse in Preysing Palais and the outlet on Residenzstrasse in Munich, Zahel chose a concept that suggests a view into festively decorated private rooms through painted furniture and decorative elements.

Nature takes centre stage in the works of Judith Kaminiski, a master student of Prof. Klaus Merkel at the Münster Art Academy. She plays with floral motifs and bright colours in her works. For the design of the shop windows in Heinrich-Heine-Allee in Düsseldorf, the artist opted for an abstract Christmas rose. The windows were painted by hand in pastel colours.

Allis Bergstrand, illustrator and graphic designer from Sweden, is responsible for the Talbot Runhof boutique in Berlin. She now lives in Berlin. The shop windows in Schlüterstraße were decorated with Christmas motifs in a cartoon-like style - from presents to snowflakes, in shades of gold and purple. Here, too, the motifs were painted by hand.

Ilaria Vinci, a young artist from southern Italy, created a scene in Zurich with animals from a fairytale pond. Ilaria Vinci lives and works in Switzerland and explores what she calls the "zone of fantasy" in her practice.

Further works by the artists will be exhibited in the boutiques at all locations. People will have the opportunity to experience the windows designed by the artists live until 6 January 2024.
