WORLD PREMIERE OF THE VALUE GIGANT by HA Schult

Currently at the Tollwood Festival in Munich

The WERTGIGANT - the new creation of one of the world‘s most renowned environmental artists HA Schult - awaits visitors to the festival at the entrance. HA Schult, one of the first art activists and admonishers against environmental destruction and excessive consumption, sets a sign for „environment instead of unworld“ with the six-metre-high sculpture. His credo to this day is:

„Only art moves the times.“

HA SCHULT

HA Schult and his 1,000 „Trash People“ have been travelling around the world for 25 years. In 2015 they stopped at TOLLWOOD. The new sculpture WERTGIGANT is six metres high, weighs three tonnes and consists exclusively of discarded electronic waste, namely old laptops, refrigerators, mobile phones and washing machines. The latest e-waste study by the insurer Wertgarantie says that we produce one thousand WERTGIGANTs of e-waste in one day!

With the WERTGIGANTEN by HA Schult, the Aktionsort Change and the HoMaBiLe project, Tollwood is setting an example for more environmental protection and the long overdue social and ecological transformation process.

The action artist Schult has even more planned for it: The scrap colossus is still going on tour - and may also come to Cologne. The artist is currently negotiating with Essen, Düsseldorf and Cologne in the Rhineland. Before that, however, he would like to have it in Berlin to be a memento before the Bundestag elections.

A lot of exciting things can still be expected from this artist. Stay up to date at:
