Stuart Semple launches absolutely nothing

but $100m NFT , to "teach the crypto-bro" a lesson.

British artist Stuart Semple announces "SIXZEROS", a new NFT that allows its buyer to own nothing at all. Semple has created a million individual black pixels that turn off the screen so that it no longer emits light. As the digital equivalent of "blackest black,"

the NFT appears as a single black pixel.

"SIXZEROS" is posted at six-zeros.io as of 12 a.m. March 1, 2022.

"SIXZEROS" is completely blank, it's basically nothing

SIXZEROS is a response to the Color Museum's launch of 10,000 Color NFTs, in which the creator seeks to privatize 10,000 RGB colors that were previously free to all for decades. Users who mint a Color Museum NFT have been promised rights that mean any other user who creates a work with those colors (on the Color Museum platform) will owe them royalties. The Color Museum NFT program is expected to bring in $20 million, as many people are on the pre-sale waiting list and desperate to own a color.

"SIXZEROS" is the digital equivalent of "The Blackest Black" and was created using the hex code for black: 000000. It literally tells your screen to turn off the pixels and not emit light. Since "SIX ZEROS" is completely blank, it's basically nothing.

Semple's "SIXZEROS" is a logical evolution of the metaverse for the ongoing "color wars." With "SIXZEROS" produced in a run of one million copies - as he has done throughout his campaign to liberate color - Semple is once again openly inviting the public into this conceptual game.

In a new video posted on the Six Zeros website, Semple alludes to the fact that supporters of the work might end up getting something for their nothing.

"I'm fed up with these shady crypto bros and their fraudulent NFT Ponzi schemes. When they start owning and profiting from paint, it goes too far. Let's face it, for the last guy who tried this, it didn't end well," Semple said. "In recent weeks, I've been hounded by the Internet to respond to the latest color monger. I've never missed an opportunity to turn a petty feud into a conceptual work of art."

As part of the ongoing battle against "color criminals," collectors who purchase Semple's NFT must agree to a disclaimer that states, "By stamping the Blackest Black Pixel, you acknowledge that you are not Anish Kapoor or the creator of The Color Museum NFT. You acknowledge that you are not affiliated with them and that to the best of your knowledge, this pixel will not end up in their wallet. Purchasers of "SIXZEROS" must also submit to a wallet check to ensure they are not in possession of a Color Museum NFT.

Semple is known worldwide for liberating color. He first fought Anish Kapoor's exclusive ownership of Vantablack with The Pinkest Pink, and eventually with his own Black 3.0, which also required artists who purchased the color to sign a waiver stating that they were not Kapoor. More recently, this has continued with his own version of Yves Klein's Ultramarine and the first-ever release of Tiffany's famous Blue.

Stuart makes all the colors he creates available to hundreds of thousands of artists around the world on a non-profit basis.

If you want absolutely nothing (at least for now), go to www.six-zeros.io and mint a piece of Stuart Semple's work now - unless you are a Color Museum NFT holder.
