HAMPTON COURT GARDEN FESTIVAL
The Hampton Court Garden Festival is arguably the biggest flower show in the world. It is organised by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) at Hampton Court Palace in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is different from the Chelsea Flower Show as it also focuses on environmental issues, cooking recipes and garden accessories.

DUBLIN WORLD FLOWER SHOW

ROSE FESTIVAL
The Rose Festival is an annual exhibition of roses and flower arrangements held in Kutno, Poland. The event is traditionally held on the first (sometimes second) weekend in September. The first exhibition was held in 1974. The roses and other flowers come from growers in the province of Łódź, while the flower arrangements come from florists in Poland and other countries, e.g. Russia, Latvia or Lithuania.

BRUSSELS FLOWER CARPET
The Brussels Flower Carpet is a biennial initiative launched by the City of Brussels and the non-profit organisation Brussels Flower Carpet. Organised since 1971, the Flower Carpet attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the Grand Place every year and has become a real reference around the world. Since 2013, this event has been organised every other summer, alternating with Flowertime, a prestigious floral art exhibition at Brussels City Hall.

FLORALIA BRUSSELS
The 18th edition of the Floralia Brussels 2021 flower show will take place in the park and greenhouses of the castle of Grand Bigard (Groot-Bijgaarden). The 14-hectare park includes almost all spring bulb varieties. For the new flowering season, the gardeners of the castle have planted more than one million bulbs by hand. Special attention is paid to the tulips, with almost 400 varieties, hyacinths and daffodils are also well represented.

NARZISSENFEST AUSSEERLAND SALZKAMMERGUT
In Ausseerland - Salzkammergut, the white star-flowered daffodil, also called star narcissus, blooms from mid-May to mid-June, depending on the altitude. Every year around this time, the Narcissus Festival, the largest flower festival in Austria, also takes place. Every year a Nazisse Queen is also elected.

CROCUS BLOSSUM IN HUSUM CASTLE
Every spring, more than 4 million crocuses transform Husum Castle Park into a purple natural spectacle. The reason for this is the "Crocus neapolitanus", a wild-growing plant from the southern regions of Europe, which has been providing a unique splendour of blossoms for several hundred years. On the occasion of the annual crocus blossom around the castle outside Husum, the new Husum Crocus Blossom Majesty will be crowned and the Crocus Blossom Festival with open shopping Sunday will be celebrated.
The festival is postponed to 19 + 20 March 2022.

The MADEIRA FLOWER FESTIVAL
The Flower Festival on Madeira, the island of flowers, takes place in April or May - 4 weeks after Easter - when the flowers are in bloom. On this island, flowers grow everywhere. In backyards, gardens and even on the side of the road. "Wall of Hope" - 2 October
On Saturday morning, the Children's Parade takes place, where thousands of children march to the Praça do Município to build a beautiful wall of flowers, symbolically called the "Wall of Hope".
The Allegorical Flower Parade : On Sunday afternoon, the streets of Funchal's city centre will once again be filled with music, colour and soft fragrances, with the magnificent parade of floats that harmoniously combine different types of flowers with decorations full of creativity.

VIOLET FESTIVAL
The Violet Festival has been held in Tourrettes-sur-Loup since 1952. Violet production became the main agricultural activity in 1880 and today only the Victoria variety is grown in Tourrettes-sur-Loup. Every year in March, the Violet Festival rounds off the violet season and celebrates spring.
THE FESTIVAL OF THE LEMONS
The popular lemon festival "Fête du Citron®" in Menton on the Côte d'Azur takes place in February. The spectacle, which bathes the town of Menton in bright yellow and bright orange year after year, attracts around 240,000 visitors. For three weeks, the lemons are celebrated with events, parades and shows - and up to 145 tonnes of the fruit are arranged into elaborate sculptures.

MIMOSA FESTIVAL
Other important festivals include the Mimosa Festival in February, an integral part of the winter festivals on the Côte d'Azur. The Mimosa Festival has been held for 8 consecutive days since 1931 and is a great popular festival that brings together Mandolocians, as well as thousands of visitors and enthusiasts.
LAVENDER FIELDS
And of course the celebration of the lavender fields of Provence. Early July is the best time. The entire region glows in violet. Explore the "Route de la Lavande". The approximately 400 km long lavender route leads through the many different lavender growing areas in Provence.
ITALY
LOCARNO CAMELLIA
A beautiful flower and also the favourite flower of Coco Chanel, the Locarno is honoured. In the Visconteo Castle, 950 different species of the camelia flower are arranged in March. The Camelie Flower Festival is the most important event of its kind in Europe and therefore a must for all flower lovers.

INFIORATO
The word infiroata means "adorned with flowers". One of the most famous infiorata in Italy takes place in Noto, Sicily. The flower festival in Noto is usually held on the third weekend in May. Another famous infiorata destination is Genzano, near Rome. The tradition of the Flower Carpet in Genzano dates back to 1778 and takes place on the Sunday of Corpus Domini.
The Genzano di Roma Infiorata flower festival dates back to the 13th century. Artists spend months creating a painting that is later covered with flowers. The floral mosaics cover almost 2,000 square metres. The festival ends with the "spallamento" with thousands of children running down the street destroying the flower creations, which is a really exciting end to the flower festival.

HONGKONG
HONG KONG FLOWER SHOW
Themed "City of Flowers, City of Love" and with the rhododendron as the lead flower, the show features a 3D virtual tour that takes visitors on a 360-degree journey through 20 gardens with themed floral decorations in designated parks in the city. The gardens have different designs, including Chinese pavilions, Japanese gardens, Thai decorations and Western-style gardens. Meanwhile, the Science Museum will present the special exhibition "Exploring Flowers with Five Senses" from 19 March.

DALAT FLOWER FESTIVAL
The Dalat Flower Festival (Vietnamese: Festival Hoa Đà Lạt) is a cultural festival held every two years in Đà Lạt city, Lâm Đồng, Vietnam and some other places in Lâm Đồng province. The festival is held with the aim of exhibiting flowers, vegetables and ornamental plants from the local as well as other regions within the country and many other countries around the world to attract visitors to Đà Lạt and promote the city's economic development. The Dalat Flower Festival is also an activity that honours the value of flowers and floriculture, calls for investment in Đà Lạt's flower industry, and promotes a positive image of the city, culture and people of Đà Lạt.
THAILAND
The Chiang Mai Flower Festival in Chiang Mai, Thailand, known as the "Rose of the North", holds this three-day festival in February, at the end of the cool season. The festival begins on the first weekend in February. Yellow and white chrysanthemums and the Damascene rose, a variety found only in Chiang Mai, are displayed.[citation needed] The focal point of this Chiang Mai festival is in the public garden of Suan Buak Haad on the southwest corner of the moat. The road next to the moat around the park is closed to traffic, and vendors of plants, flowers, orchids and garden decorations set up their stalls there.

JAPAN
HIROSHIMA FLOWER FESTIVAL
The festival is one of the biggest annual events in Hiroshima. A celebration of flowers, nature, music and peace, it takes place along Hiroshima Peace Boulevard over a three-day period during "Golden Week" every May and attracts well over 1,000,000 visitors from around the world.
During the festival, over 30 stages are set up along Peace Boulevard for special events and performances. A giant flower tower, the symbol of the festival, stands at the entrance to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.

HANAMI
Hanami (花見, "flower viewing") is the traditional Japanese custom of enjoying the fleeting beauty of flowers. Cherry trees bloom throughout Japan from late March to early May, and on Okinawa Island around the first of February. The blossom forecast (桜前線, sakura-zensen) "cherry blossom front" is announced each year by the Japan Meteorological Agency and is carefully watched by those planning hanami, as the blossoms only last a week or two.
