Valentino Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli and Chief Executive Officer Jacopo Venturini are supporting curator Eugenio Viola and artist Gian Maria Tosatti for the Italian Pavilion at the 59th Biennale di Venezia International Art Exhibition.
History of the night and fate of comets
The 59th Biennale, The Milk of Dreams, is curated by Cecilia Alemani. Italy is represented by Gian Maria Tosatti, whose work "History of Night and Fate of Comets" is being produced.
Pierpaolo Piccioli makes deep creative connections with artists, this is reflected in his collections, art exhibitions and art books. He is concerned with the promotion and preservation of culture, aimed at a cultural comeback and reciprocity. Already legendary is his couture show Valentino Des Ateliers in Le Gaggiandre of the Arsenale, next to the Tese delle Vergini, where he combined works of art with his clothes. On this occasion Valentino also sponsored the 49th International Theater Festival - Biennale Teatro 2021, and in this place now will be the Italian Pavilion.
Once again, the creative director wants to create a tribute to the city of Venice and its cultural panorama. The city that for him generates vibrations for art, theater, music, architecture, cinema and everything that has to do with creativity. For Pierpaolo Piccioli, Venice is the natural perceptual scenario for a conversation between art and fashion, where a creative mind can present its creations.
