H&M Studio collections
If there is a very special fashion highlight at H&M, it is either the one collaboration with a designer or the H&M Studio collections. These collections have their own design team and are released 2 times a year.
Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H&M sees a new exuberant mood that makes people dress up in fantastic clothes in bright colors again. The designer recalls the "va-va-voom" spirit that defined fashion from the 1980s to the early 2000s.
The street style collection exudes a "see-and-be-seen" attitude. From avant-garde interpretations of lace-up denim and one-size-fits-all suits to lime green satin combinations and a leopard print swimsuit. A studded denim miniskirt, ruffle-trimmed mesh top and rhinestone-studded little black dress evoke the excess of the late 1990s. Accessories also focus on statement pieces, from green snake earrings to studded platform clogs and red western boots.
The eye-catching pieces are paired with dazzling personalities, like Devon Ross in this case. She is just about to embark on her press tour for her HBO drama Irma Vep, in which she stars alongside Alicia Vikander.

In H&M Studio's SS22 collection, every piece is dramatic, almost menacing, and an icon like Devon Ross or female influencers can certainly make a statement with it. Statement in fashion is important, but it only works if you use it in a pointed way.
H&M Studio on the SELLPY platform
H&M is focusing on sustainability and is once again collaborating with Sellpy, the digital platform for used clothing, to offer a selection of key pieces from the H&M Studio archive. The pieces, handpicked by Ann-Sofie Johansson and the H&M design team, will be available on Sellpy.com/HM from February 17.
