Düsseldorf, 15 October 2023: Over 250 guests from politics, business, sport and society turned up when Trisor celebrated the opening of its new location on Heinrich-Heine-Allee in Düsseldorf on Thursday evening. As befits an opening, a multitude of local TV personalities, influencers and models showed up. Star guest RTL presenter Frauke Ludwig had her picture taken with the two managing directors Marco Wild and Dr. Justus Westerburg as she placed a heart in a safe. Let's Dance stars Renata and Valentin Lusin guided their followers on social media directly into the vault rooms. TV presenter, reporter and author Franca Lehfeldt moderated charmingly but also critically. The catering was provided by Essen-based Chefs & Butchers and DJ Teddy-O played the music.
Behind the glamorous opening is what appears to be a successful business model. In the course of the thinning out of bank branches, a new market emerged in which many safe deposit box providers now cavort. Among the providers are many security companies, of which Trisor seems to be one of the largest. Trisor itself opened its first branch in 2019 and now has locations in 9 German cities.
No customer will ever enter the vault
According to Trisor, their business model is about highly secure vaults, advantages such as central location and 24/7 accessibility. The entire place is protected by 24/7 security. In an interview with Fokus in March 2023, the founders confessed that statics was one of their biggest problems. On average, Trisor building elements would have a weight of 3.2 tonnes per m² and not every desired property would be able to support this statically.
Lounge Style
According to Trisor, their locker systems are controlled by automated robotics and no customer will ever enter the vault. One of the risks, according to Trisor, is humans themselves, such as cleaning staff or their own employees. In concrete terms, the locker works with a 3-factor authentication of customer card, personal PIN code and biometric features.
The Trisor locations are furnished in lounge style with natural materials such as marble, but also plush carpets and gold. The design is by Hamburg architect Hadi Teherani, who is also on the company's advisory board. In an interview, he confessed that the aim was to take away the customer's nervousness. The customer should gain security and be able to let go.
Behind Trisor itself are the two managing directors Dr. Justus Westerburg, lawyer and tax consultant, and Marco Wild, who was responsible for the expansion and partner acquisition of various retail and gastronomy concepts. The board of directors includes extremely renowned names such as the former chairman of the board of Dresdner Bank, Dr. Herbert Walter, the former police chief in Hamburg, Werner Jantosch, and architect Hadi Teherani.
