The non-profit association "Kunst hilft geben für Arme und Wohnungslose in Köln e. V." (Art helps give for the poor and homeless in Cologne) is organizing a benefit art exhibition with originals, editions, prints and sculptures by the Cologne action artist HA Schult on April 3, 2022 at Pan Kunstforum Niederrhein for the benefit of victims of wartime violence. 100% of the proceeds will be distributed to war refugees from Ukraine and homeless people.

The artist will be present.

The "Kunst hilft geben für Arme und Wohnungslose in Köln e. V." is extremely successful. In the past two years, the association has worked with over 80 artists, including Rosemarie Trockel, Gerhard Richter & HA SCHULT. Thanks to their art donations, around 1,000,000 € in donations and art sales were collected in pandemic year 1.

Among others, 250.000 € were spent for homeschooling, e.g. 1.000 laptops for refugee children and parents. 65,000 € went to 15 Cologne homeless aid facilities and other urgent winter aid items such as winter sleeping bags were purchased.

The association is fighting to make the right to a home of one's own a reality instead of small emergency solutions with the plans for a CASA CULTOPIA integration house in Cologne. 8 million € are to be invested in a new building to realize 32 apartments for homeless people, refugees, students and artists in 3 houses. For people who are not on the sunny side of life.

The "Kunst hilft geben für Arme und Wohnungslose in Köln e. V." was awarded on July 1, 2019 by the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI) and as a sign of trust the DZI donation seal.

Art, Vision and Investment - "Art is Life" - HA Schult's Plans for the Zeughaus Köln and the City of Cologne

"Art is Life Building" and "Art is Life Cologne". His latest project is to transform the Zeughaus Köln, the former Cologne City Museum into an art museum - to be called the Art is Life Building. HA Schult has offered the city of Cologne to purchase the Zeughaus for a symbolic euro and to work with investors to renovate it. However, the museum is only one part within a much larger plan of the artist for the city of Cologne under the name "Art is Life Cologne". Alethea & Art Magazine was given exclusive access to the artists concept of "Art is Life Building" and "Art is Life Cologne".
