Statement for sustainability in earth tones

Time is what you make of it - that's what Swatch says with its new watch series Big Bold Bioceramic, inspired by nature. The line is in earth tones and symbolizes ice sculptures of the Arctic, gorges of the canyons or green forests.
BIOCERAMIC
The 5 models of the BIG BOLD product family are made of the Swatch BIOCERAMIC material. The case, bezel and crown are made of this mix, which is two-thirds ceramic and one-third castor oil-based bioplastic. The material itself is scratch-resistant and has a smooth surface feel - suitable for outdoor use as well. The second hand is reminiscent of a compass needle, and the glass is made of bio-based plastic.

Why the editors love this watch:
Swatch always tracks down the latest art/lifestyle trend and presents the watch to match.
What's behind this trend
As interest in sustainability grows, people are finding their way back to nature and earth tones. In 80's these colors were associated with the so-called ecos and put on the sidelines; now these colors are en-vogue.
Fashion is constantly taking sources of inspiration and also raw materials from nature. Many fashion designers, especially those of haute couture interpret shapes and colors from nature in their creations.
If you appreciate fashion, you should also be interested in where it comes from and advocate for its more sustainable production. Of course, it also means not following every trend and questioning whether you really need a new watch before buying it. However, Swatch is not an exchange object, has a lifetime durability and long ago the company started to use innovative sustainable materials.

HOW MAJESTIC by Swatch
Planning for the 70th anniversary of Elizabeth II's accession to the throne is in full speed. The Queen ascended the British throne on February 6, 1952. The central celebrations will take place at the beginning of June. Swatch is celebrating the QUEEN with the Gent model: HOW MAJESTIC is a gracious tribute to Her Majesty's sense of style and presence. Using the calendar wheel, the QUEEN's outfit can be color changed 6 times. 70 gold dots on the dial represent the Queen's 70th anniversary on the throne. The case and silicone strap are in matte white with anodamazing effect.
