Düsseldorf, 7 December 2022: The German artist Leon Löwentraut, 24, is one of the shooting stars of the European art scene. His art also seems to be popular in the USA. Following his success at Art Miami, Bucherer is now exhibiting the artist's current paintings and his first monograph "Painting for Passion" as a special edition with the "Liberty" graphic edition in its flagship store in New York City. On 14 December 2022 from 6.30 to 9 pm, Leon Löwentraut will even be there himself.

Leon Löwentraut had three exhibitions at Art Miami last month, with his Wiesbaden gallerist Rother and Rudolf Budja, whose gallery in Miami hosted a Celebrity Opening.

Now New York at none other than Bucherer Time Machine, the flagship boutique in the US market of Swiss watchmaker Bucherer. TimeMachine is the former shop of US luxury watch retailer Tourneau, which Bucherer acquired in early 2018. At 1700 square metres, the boutique spans three floors. There, they are excited about the collaboration with the German artist: "We are delighted to welcome Leon to our Bucherer 1888 TimeMachine flagship store in New York to celebrate watchmaking and contemporary craftsmanship. Leon represents a young and dynamic voice of a new generation of artists who exude an entrepreneurial spirit that is truly contagious," says Stav R. Martens, Head of Commercial Partnerships at Bucherer.

Leon Löwentraut himself is a watch collector and said of his collaboration: "Watchmaking is a high art for me. You can compare it to the creation of a new painting: Each stroke has to combine with the others and create a total work of art. The same applies to the movement of a timepiece. The gears must mesh. Artists and watchmakers are driven by meticulousness and passion."

"Painting for Passion" / "Löwentraut/Bucherer"

"Painting for Passion" has a new edition, "Löwentraut/Bucherer" with a graphic edition "Liberty" (Editor: Team Geuer). This monography has an edition of 30 copies.

It was published in autumn by teNeues Verlag, was presented at the Frankfurt Book Fair, and has been available in bookshops in America since the end of October.
