Düsseldorf, 9 November 2022: Sotheby's Cologne invites to preview the Highlights Modern & Contemporary Discoveries and Highlights 20th Century Art: A Modern Perspective. When: 16 to 22 November, respectively 28 November 2022. The Modern & Contemporary Discoveries auction will include three works by Christo, Wrapped Reichstag, Emil Nolde, Flowers with Red Blossoms and Pia Fries, Loraine.

The highlight of the auction 20th Century Art: A Modern Perspective is certainly a painting by the Polish painter Wojciech Fangor, who is one of the most famous Polish painters, mainly due to his abstract paintings from the 1960s. This painting is estimated at 300,000 - 500,000 EUR.

Sotheby's has been based in Cologne since 1982. The auction house moved into the Bel Étage of the Palais Oppenheim last year and has been holding sensational auctions ever since, such as this spring's auction in 3 stages of Karl Lagerfeld's estate.

November, respektive 28. November 2022. In der Modern & Contemporary Discoveries Auktion werden u. a. drei Werke angeboten von Christo, Wrapped Reichstag, Emil Nolde, Blumen mit roten Blüten und Pia Fries, Loraine.

Das Highlight der Auktion 20th Century Art: A Modern Perspective ist sicherlich ein Gemälde des polnischen Malers Wojciech Fangor, der einer der berühmtesten polnischen Maler ist, was vor allem auf seine abstrakten Gemälde aus den 1960er Jahren zurückzuführen ist. Geschätzt wird dieses Gemälde auf 300,000 - 500,000 EUR.

Bereits seit 1982 ist Sotheby’s in Köln ansässig. Das Auktionshaus zog vergangenes Jahr in die Bel Étage des Palais Oppenheim ein und führt seither aufsehenserregende Auktionen durch, wie im Frühjahr die Versteigerung in 3 Etappen des Nachlasses von Karl Lagerfeld.
