After the first edition in 2021, the strike a pose festival will enter its second round from 24 to 26 June 2022 and will once again stage cross-genre interfaces between fashion and art for an entire weekend at the Museum K21 Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen and in Düsseldorf galleries. The three-day festival programme in 2022 consists of Gallery Day on Friday, 24 June, Fashion Day at K21 on Saturday, 25 June and the symposium "Break the rules & set yourself free! Diversity in Fashion and Art" on Sunday, 26 June.

Gallery Day on Friday, 24 June 2022

The kick-off of strike a pose is the Gallery Day on Friday, 24 June with a gallery tour through the participating Düsseldorf galleries and the presentation of collaborations between designers and artists. Galerie Rupert Pfab presents a cooperation between the artist Astrid Busch and the Japanese, Düsseldorf-based fashion designer Hiroyuki Murase of the label Suzusan. In the new exhibition space the pool, the cooperation between the artist Emil Schult and designer Sophia Schneider-Esleben can be seen. the pool is located in the former swimming pool of the Tersteegenstraße terrace house, which was designed in 1962 by the Düsseldorf architect and uncle of Sophia Schneider-Esleben Paul Schneider von Esleben.

These and other works will be shown in the galleries throughout the weekend until Sunday as part of strike a pose.

Cologne galleries in the Museum K21 in the Ständehaus Galleries from Cologne are showing positions and collaborations of their artists in the Museum K21 in the Ständehaus. Galerie Clages, for example, presents a cooperation between the German-born, Toronto-based filmmaker Oliver Husain and the umbrella company FARE. The JUBG Contemporary Art Gallery brings the Phantom Kino Ballet by artists and musicians Sarah Szczesny and Lena Willikens to the piazza of the K21.

Saturday, 25 June 2022 - Fashion Day at Museum K21

In addition to the galleries, established positions such as the cooperation between the Düsseldorf perfomance label G-LAB and artist Johannes Wohnseifer will be shown on the K21 Piazza. The gallery basedonart brings the Japanese artist Takako Saito to the K21 with a performance as part of the Fashion Day.
