Düsseldorf, October 12, 2022: The MTV EMAs 2022 will take place for the first time in Düsseldorf at the PSD Bank Dome. Now the nominees have been announced. Harry Styles has received the most nominations. As always, it's the fans who decide who will receive the coveted awards: From today until November 9 at 11:59 p.m. at mtvema.com, they can vote for their favorites in the gender-neutral categories, including "Best Song," "Best Artist," "Best Collaboration" and the two brand-new categories "Best Longform Video" and "Best Metaverse Performance."

The nominees were also announced today:

Internationally, Harry Styles leads the race with seven nominations, including for "Best Artist," "Best Song" and "Best Video." Taylor Swift follows closely behind with six nominations, including for "Best Artist," "Best Pop" and in the new EMA category "Best Longform Video." Nicki Minaj and Rosalía each receive five nominations, including for the "Best Song" and "Best Artist" categories.

Badmómzjay, Kontra K, Giant Rooks, Leony and Nina Chuba can look forward to a nomination for "Best German Act". In the category "Best Swiss Act" Faber, Loredana, Marius Bear as well as Patent Ochsner and Priya Ragu are nominated.

NDie meisten Nominierungen hat Harry Styles erhalten. Wer die heiß begehrten Awards in Empfang nehmen darf, entscheiden – wie immer – die Fans: Ab heute können sie bis zum 9. November um 23.59 Uhr auf mtvema.com für ihre Favorit*innen in den genderneutralen Kategorien abstimmen, darunter „Best Song”, „Best Artist”, „Best Collaboration” sowie den beiden brandneuen Kategorien „Best Longform Video” und „Best Metaverse Performance”.

Heute wurden auch die Nominierten bekanntgegeben:

International führt Harry Styles das Rennen mit sieben Nominierungen an, darunter für „Best Artist", „Best Song" und „Best Video". The MTV EMAs 2022 will take place for the first time in Düsseldorf at the PSD Bank Dome.

It will be the sixth time the world-famous music event has resided in Germany. The EMAs will be broadcast live on MTV in more than 170 countries on November 13, as well as on Pluto TV and Comedy Central in Germany. In the run-up to the MTV EMAs, the state capital Düsseldorf will become a pop culture hotspot. A week before the awards, live and musical events throughout the city will invite all Düsseldorfers to a big international party.

Die MTV EMAs 2022 finden erstmals in Düsseldorf im PSD Bank Dome statt. Es ist das sechste Mal, dass die weltberühmte Musikveranstaltung in Deutschland residiert. Die EMAs werden am 13. November live auf MTV in mehr als 170 Ländern sowie auf Pluto TV und Comedy Central in Deutschland übertragen. Im Vorfeld der MTV EMAs wird die Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf zum Hotspot der Popkultur. Eine Woche vor der Verleihung werden Live- und Musikevents in der gesamten Stadt alle Düsseldorfer zu einer großen internationalen Party einladen.

Mercedes Gleitze, first Rolex brand ambassador and a little story about visionary Hans Wilsdorf. Mercedes Gleitze was a British swimmer who in 1927 became the first Englishwoman to swim the English Channel and set several swimming records. She was fitted with the waterproof Oyster watch by Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf. She thus became the brand's first testimonial, to be followed by other collaborations with pioneers.

In the UK wide art project The World Reimagined, over 100 art globe sculptures were created to show the UK artists' exploration of the consequences of the transatlantic trade in enslaved Africans. Alethea Magazine received an exclusive interview from internationally renowned artist and social critic Nicola Green. Her globe, depicting the Guyana jungle and golden angels above a lotus-shaped map, references the intersection of climate justice and racial justice.

The chief designer presented his new fashion, which shows the disillusionment and uncertainty of the times in which the young generation is growing up. His explanation of Unboxing, actually a term from net culture: "Unboxing an image means unboxing an idea. Get rid of the structure and you will see whats's inside". A large star contingent was there, from Zendaya to Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz-Beckham. Fans can look forward to many new handbag models. Read more
