Dusseldorf, September 25, 2022: A new exhibition at the Eden Project explores the relationship between people and plants. On view are works by artists including Kedisha Coakley, Patricia Domínguez, Iman Datoo, Ingela Ihrman, Eduardo Navarro, and Ai Weiwei. The exhibition aims to celebrate the power of imagination to reconnect us to the natural world.
Works on view include Ai Weiwei's Fly (2019) from the Roots series; iron sculptures cast from Brazilian tree roots that could be over a thousand years old. Roots reflects ancient cultures and man's first tools, as well as an "uprooting" that reflects Ai Weiwei's life after he was allowed to leave China in 2015, and the plight of indigenous people that he has documented for years. Eden Project curator Hannah Hooks: "Every living thing on Earth is interconnected, and this exhibition includes a variety of artworks that explore and challenge our perceptions of the natural world and our role in it by focusing on our relationships with plants."

The Wertgigant by HA Schult will make a stop in Vienna at Karlsplatz from 27.9. 2022.
The sculpture, which weighs over 1 tonne, is a projection screen that symbolises the electronic waste that German households produce in 72 seconds. Thus, theoretically, an army of 1,000 Wertgigants is created each time within 20 hours - comparable to the 1,000 Trash People by HA Schult.
